A common mantra according to people in the business, but no truer words were ever spoken.
Jason Smith Almost like the mafia, once you get in, you're in. I began doing radio at Syracuse University as a freshman, and as a sophomore I hosted the morning show on the campus radio station. Getting up at 5:30 a.m. five days a week as a 17-year old wasn't the greatest thing in the world, but it was just so much fun I couldn't ever think of doing anything else. After I graduated I spent the summer applying for every radio job I saw, hired a headhunting agency and...Nothing. I couldn't get a job in Syracuse, Binghamton, Springfield, anywhere. So I interned in the marketing department of ESPN in New York City (my hometown) the summer after I graduated. READ MORE

MIKE AND MIKE IN THE MORNING
Sports fans rise and shine with Mike and Mike in the Morning on ESPN Radio, featuring SportsCenter anchor Mike Greenberg and former NFL defensive tackle Mike Golic. Both get the morning started off right with the latest sports news and scores, analysis and listener call-ins, plus big name interviews. It’s a fun, fast-paced morning drive for sports fans. Mike Greenberg joined ESPN in September 1996 as an anchor for ESPNEWS, ESPN’s 24-hour sports news network, which launched in November of that year. He was named co-host of The Morning Show on ESPN Radio on December 30, 1999, and continues his anchor role for the 6pm ESPN SportsCenter. JOHN SEIBEL
John Seibel (born 1970) is an American journalist who has worked for ESPN since Fall 2000. He is currently the host of the ESPN Radio show SportsNation. He is one of the most versatile sportscasters for the network, as he contributes to both ESPN Radio and ESPNEWS. On Sundays since 2006 he has hosted The NFL on ESPN Radio Sundays during the NFL regular season. On the television side, he hosts ESPNEWS once or twice a week and also fills in on The Pulse on Saturday afternoons. He is known for his touch of humor to the lead stories of the day and his entertaining interviews with newsmakers. His catchphrase is "Welcome to the Machine". READ MORE

DOUG GOTTLIEB
Doug Gottlieb joined ESPN in September 2003 as co-host of ESPN Radio's GameNight. Currently, he hosts The Pulse with Doug Gottlieb on ESPN Radio Tuesday-Friday from 7PM-10PM ET. He also serves as a college basketball analyst for ESPN and ESPN2, additionally appearing ESPNEWS and writing for espn.com. Prior to joining ESPN, Gottlieb co-hosted a midday sports-talk show at ESPN Radio affiliate WWLS 640-AM "The Sports Animal" in Oklahoma, City. Additionally, he has done and will continue to provide courtside analysis on select ESPN and ESPN2 college basketball games. READ MORE
